Britney Spears’ Glee episode has already been confirmed, so now it’s time for the juicy details to start rolling in. Speaking exclusively to TV Guide, the show’s creator Ryan Murphy has revealed that Brittany, will do Britney.
Yup, Heather Morris’ character Brittany will be belting out TWO of the pop princess’s tunes on the upcoming episode.
“Heather’s actually got a terrific voice,” Murphy says.
There’s no word yet on what the songs will be, or if other characters will also get to take a stab at singing Britney. Either way, you won’t have long to wait until the to see the Glee cast recreate the living legend, with Murphy confirming that Britney’s tribute it will be the second episode to air in the new season. Season 2 begins sometime in September — only two months away.
It seems sooner than I thought though, as I expected Britney’s team to coincide the episode after her new single drops for some major cross promotion, and September seems a little too early. Maybe we’ll get a single sooner, rather than later, or maybe Glee will just be a nice warm up for Britney’s seventh album era.
