Beyoncé shares a dual cover with Christina Aguilera for W magazine’s July 2011 issue.

The 29-year-old R&B diva was interviewed by Lynn Hirschberg and photographed by Patrick Demarchelier.

"In my videos I always want to be a powerful woman," Beyoncé said in the interview. "That’s my mission."

On the inspiration for her new album "4": "I wanted this record to come from a raw place. Playing Etta James in the movie Cadillac Records really changed me. It was a darker character, and I realized that if anything is too comfortable, I want to run from it. It’s no fun being safe."

Her fourth studio album "4" will be released on Tuesday (June 28)!

Covered with just roses, the 30-year-old singer and The Voice coach was photographed by Daniele Duella and Iango Henzi.

"I really admire all the greats," Christina said in the interview. "They’ve had their ups and downs during their careers. And I would never go down without a fight. I still have my eyes on the prize: I want to be that old lady onstage shaking her hips and singing her greatest hits."

Lady Gaga's new album "Born This Way" album debuts at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart with 1,108,000 copies sold in its first week, according to Nielsen SoundScan. It's only the 17th album to sell a million in a week since SoundScan began tracking sales data in 1991, and the highest sales week since 2005. "Born This Way's" bow reaps the largest sales week of any album since 50 Cent's "The Massacre" did 1,141,000 in its first week, in March of 2005. The last time we had a million-plus frame was when Taylor Swift's "Speak Now" premiered at No. 1 with 1,047,000 in November of 2010. Truly deserving, Congrats Gaga!

Gaga is only the fifth woman to notch a million-plus week. The record frame for a woman is held by the bow of Britney Spears' "Oops! I Did It Again," which started with 1,319,000 upon its release in May of 2000. Gaga's total downloads haul from all digital retailers was 662,000 -- the biggest week for a digital album in SoundScan history. It represents 60% of the set's overall first week.

2NE1 postpone new single due to Daesung’s accident

If you follow me on Twitter, then you’d know that I was up last night at midnight waiting for the scheduled premiere of the new 2NE1 single. 12am came and went and the song was nowhere to be found, with most of us fans assuming that the non-premiere was a result of the recent car accident involving BIGBANG’s Daesung. Turns out we were right, with 2NE1′s agency YG Entertainment confirming the news today.

“We have decided to delay the release of 2NE1′s new song and the content of YG On Air by one week. It was a decision made in a tight and stressful situation, and we hope that we will be forgiven and understood for not giving proper forewarning about our decision”

If you haven’t been keeping up with the K-Pop news, BIGBANG’s Daesung was involved in a car accident this week in which a motorcyclist was killed. It’s a very complicated situation involving another car, a hit and run before Daesung was even on the scene, and some other factors — you can read the specific details on AllKPop, but for the mean time, police are conducting a thorough investigation to fully determine whether Daesung was at fault or not (so far, it looks like he probably wasn’t). Having YG Entertainment’s biggest band involved in something like this is obviously taking its toll on the agency, so it’s no surprise that 2NE1′s new promotional campaign has had to temporarily take a back seat.

Anyway, it’s not like one week will hurt 2NE1 too much. Their single “Lonely” is #5 in its third week on the chart, after hitting number one last week, and they already picked up a music program award on Sunday’s Inkigayo. Although, you do have to wonder if Daesung’s situation could end up negatively affecting 2NE1′s new album launch overall — and don’t get me started on what this will mean for BIGBANG, who were scheduled to drop another album soon.

Super Junior begin recording fifth album

Asia’s biggest boy band that isn’t BIGBANG or TVXQ, Super Junior, confirmed today that they have officially begun recording their fifth studio album.

Member Leeteuk confirmed that recording had already begun on the Super Junior radio show, while Ryeowook Tweeted that the group have been practicing hard in preparation for its release.

The new album will follow-up the boys mega-smash BONAMANA, which was the highest-selling album in South Korea for 2010. The album also spawned a mega-hit in the title track, which has been sitting at #1 on the Taiwanese charts for the past YEAR and counting.

Speaking of the song’s success in Taiwan, member Heechul Tweeted: “BONAMANA has been at #1 in Taiwan for over a year. At the end, only our 5th album’s new song will be able to beat “BONAMANA.” Even though we are going crazy over the preparation of the 5th album, you guys will go crazy because of the album’s release, because we are a killer group.”

I’m sure they’ll be able to top “BONAMAMA” since it’s just a less-amazing version of “Sorry Sorry”, which has to be up there with SNSD’s “Gee” and Wonder Girls’ “Nobody” as one of the greatest K-Pop songs of all time.

The album should be amazing, though. Super Junior always have incredible songs, and besides a few dud ballads, the BONAMANA album was basically flawless. And if they come back this year, they won’t even have any other boy band competition — TVXQ have already wrapped up their comeback promotions, SM won’t put SHINee and SuJu directly against each other, BIGBANG will obviously be delayed indefinitely due to Daesung’s recent accident, and JYP’s 2PM aren’t successful enough yet to pose a threat.

Isang epic drama ang Amaya na noong kalagitnaan pa ng 2010 nai-present ang istorya at konsepto. Gaganap si Marian sa title role bilang si Amaya, isang tribe princess na biniyayaan ng pambihirang kapangyarihan na magiging tagapagligtas ng kanyang lahi.

Matagal na raw pinaghandaan ni Marian ang kanyang role sa Amaya. Nagpapayat nga raw siya dahil alam niyang magiging physically demanding ang kanyang gagawin sa serye.

Ang huling primetime series na pinagbidahan ni Marian ay ang Endless Love kunsaan nakatambal niya ang kanyang real-life boyfriend na si Dingdong Dantes.

Naging guest siya noong December sa Krismaserye ni Jillian Ward na Jillian: Namamasko Po! at tuluy-tuloy pa rin naman ang kanyang sitcom na Show Me Da Manny.

Kaya sobrang excited si Marian na masimulan na ang Amaya dahil nami-miss na raw niya ang mag-taping para sa isang series.

"Oo nga, e, na-miss ko ang mag-taping. Medyo nakapagpahinga naman tayo nang matagal para maging ready tayo for Amaya. Kita n'yo naman, nag-diet pa ako para lang maging fit ako para sa pagsisimula ng show na ito," nakangiting sabi ni Marian sa panayam sa kanya ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal).

MOST EXPENSIVE. Isa sa pinakamalaking primetime series ng GMA-7 ang Amaya. Sa set, costumes, at locations na lang nila ay alam mong sobrang laki ang budget nito. Ito na nga ang masasabing "most expensive primetime series" na gagawin ni Marian sa Kapuso network.

Ani Marian, "Nalula nga ako sa laki ng project. Hindi ko inaasahan na gano'n pala kabongga ang lahat. Kasi malalaki ang set na gagawin, tapos ang daming costumes at props na gagamitin. Tapos, ang laki pa ng cast.

"Parang pinagsama-sama mo ang mga nagawa ko nang malalaking shows sa GMA-7 tulad ng Marimar, Dyesebel, at Darna. Gano'n kalaki ang Amaya kaya nakakakaba ang magiging expectations ng maraming tao.

"Pero positive naman ako, e. Alam ko na lalabas na maganda ito at magtutulung-tulong kaming lahat para mabigay namin ang kagandahan ng istorya ng Amaya."

MARIAN'S LEADING MEN. Dalawa ang leading men ni Marian sa Amaya: ang award-winning young actor na si Sid Lucero at ang commercial and print model-turned-actor na si Mikael Daez.

Natuwa si Marian nang makasama niya sa story conference ng Amaya ang dalawang lalake na makakatrabaho niya.

"Silang dalawa yung talagang napili namin para sa roles nila sa Amaya. Kailangan kasi ay bagay sila sa roles nila. Kaya medyo natagalan kami sa paghanap ng makakapareha ko dahil gusto namin ay bagay talaga.

"Nag-screen test na rin kami at okey lumabas. First time ko silang makakatrabaho at excited ako na bago ang mga leading men ko sa new project natin," saad ng aktres.

Balitang gusto sana ni Marian na si Dingdong pa rin ang makapareha niya sa Amaya. Pero imposible ito dahil may nasimulan nang ibang show si Dingdong.

"Mas okey kung si Dong pa rin, di ba? Kaso nasimulan na nga ni Dong ang I ♥ You Pare at kakatapos lang nga namin ng Endless Love.

"Okey lang na maghiwalay muna kami. Kay Ate Regine [Velasquez-Alcasid] muna siya ipapareha. In real life naman, parati naman kaming magkasama. Ang ganda, di ba?" sabay tawa pa niya.

Ngayon pa lang ay ipinagdarasal na ni Marian ang tagumpay ng Amaya. Iba raw kasi ito sa mga nagawa na niyang mga series at huwag sanang manibago ang kanyang mga tagahanga sa makikitang pagbabago sa kanyang role.

"Alam ko na nasanay ang mga fans na nagda-drama ako, or isa akong character sa komiks. Tanggap na nga nilang komedyante na rin ako, e.

"Pero iba itong Amaya. Historical drama ito na marami silang matututunan habang pinapanood nila.

"Panibagong challenge sa akin ito at pinagpe-pray ko na maging successful ito at masulit ang matagal na paghihintay ng mga manonood sa Amaya," asam ni Marian.

Adele’s revenge anthem “Rolling in the Deep” has been stripped of its bluesy, foot-stomping production, leaving the vocals to sit over the top of Britney’s current dance-pop smash “Till the World Ends”.

I never realized how brilliant Adele would actually sound over dance music, as all the other Adele remixes I’ve heard have all been the indie ones from the likes of Jamie Xx and the like. DJs need to start taking Adele’s tunes to the clubs more often!

Several members from Girls’ Generation (SNSD) were pictured on the set of a new shoot for an upcoming advertisement earlier today. One member Sunny can be seen dressed up as Lady GaGa, rocking the hair bow in one photo, while another continues the GaGa-inspired look with The Fame Monster wig in another shot.

The shoot took place one day after the girls’ producer E-Tribe confirmed that he would be getting in touch with Lady GaGa’s record label over claims that GaGa plagiarized the SNSD song “Be Happy” for her hit “Born this Way”.
